The Presidential Debates Have Ended!

The Debates are Finally Over!

Tonight, the final debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney was held. It was civilized because Bob Schaffer was not going to let either man get past him, he’s an old pro. They wouldn’t dare try on him what they tried on Candy Crowley, although she handled them quite well last week.

Who won? President Obama. He is always logical, concise and specific, unlike his competitor. He did not manufacture any stats from the ether, told the truth about what he’s done, how he adjusted when necessary, and what he envisions for the next steps regarding a wide range of foreign policy issues.

Mitt Romney, on the other hand, tried to act subdued, so unlike his last appearance. But, that false meekness was really because he hasn’t a clue on foreign policy, besides shipping jobs to China [read “Romney’s Bain Capital is Sending a Bunch of High-Tech Jobs to China on the Day Before the Election.”] Mitt primarily tried to debate on domestic issues, rather than foreign policy. There’s a reason for that – it’s because he really doesn’t know foreign policy. He doesn’t know the ins and outs of the military, as his statement on the Navy showed.

President Obama basically wiped the floor with him, in a civilized manner. Hail to the Chief.  Now, as our President so succinctly stated, we have to suffer through “way too many commercials” for the next 15 days, until it’s over. I’m betting on a re-election; the American people cannot be hoodwinked forever. The Democratic Party is a long, long way from doing what they should, but they are the lesser of two evils at the moment.
