What Did He Say?

Moving on...

This past Saturday, the Speaker of the Ohio House of Reps., William Batchelder, made a bad joke at the expense of the President. He thought it was funny to say that he should be in jail rather than running the country. Who gave him the authority to commit someone he doesn’t know to incarceration? Is it because his wife is a judge that he’s gotten to the point that he can indiscriminately arrange for people to be locked up, and he took it too far? Or, is he just a fool? Probably the latter.

Since I’m not an Ohio resident, I never heard of this guy until his faux pas, so I looked him up on Wikipedia – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_G._Batchelder. Did he make this statement because of the campaign funding he gets from the largest interests in Ohio, found at   http://www.followthemoney.org/database/uniquecandidate.phtml?uc=2058?

It’s possible that the invincible feeling that comes over politicians when they’ve been in office too long has affected him as well. Hopefully, the people of Ohio will consider this in November.
